Polypropylene cones, rubber surrounds and heavy duty polymer based speaker frames make them impervious to moisture. Splashing salt water on them will not harm these speakers. Boss utilizes a protective coating to block UV rays from the sun maintaining material integrity and to keep them looking good. These BOSS speakers also resist destructive effects of chlorine making them perfect for use around spas and swimming pools.
