Rock the Boat came through when the stereo manufacturer wouldn’t. My new stereo had a short and would slowly drain my battery so it took me a while to debug it.
I am an engineer and knew what the root cause was. The manufacturer’s “tech support contact” told me it was normal, I needed to pay shipping to a service center 300 miles away and be without my stereo for a month. Matt at RTB knew the symptom wasn’t normal and sent me a new stereo to swap out the defective one. Bingo. Back in business. Thanks RTB and Matt.

Dad’s boat had a radio; I say “had” because someone stole it over the winter… For Dad’s birthday, I wanted to get him a replacement, so I went shopping from the comfort of my recliner. First stop was West Marine, where I found a tiny assortment of overpriced, junky-looking radios. Next, I plugged “marine radio” into Google and found Rock the Boat. This is what I love about the Internet– a niche-focused retailer that concentrates only on one small area and does it really well. They had the radio I wanted, so I ordered it. When I arrived, I found that it was black, despite the website picture that showed a white radio (which was what I wanted, as the boat’s dash is a dazzlingly white expanse of fiberglass). I mailed the Rock the Boat folks, and they quickly dispatched UPS to pick up the black unit while simultaneously sending out the correct unit. It arrived in plenty of time for Dad’s birthday, and they could not have been more friendly or courteous. I would be very happy to do business with them again (as long as it’s not the result of someone stealing this radio…)

I am astonished at the level of customer service that Rock the Boat offers. They not only have a lot of product knowledge, they are also patient, curteous, and kind. Anyone searching for a marine electronics company should look no further! The owner of the company helped me personally, in my tiring and confusing search for the best marine stereo system for my boyfriend’s needs and specifications for his bass boat. As someone who knows very little about marine electronics, I was desperate to find a company that would provide me with a product specialist that wouldn’t mind taking the time to answer my questions and help me out. I found this in Rock the Boat. All of the other companies I researched were not even half as helpful and PATIENT with answering my questions and addressing my concerns as this company was. I feel a huge sense of relief in my decision to make my purchase with Rock the Boat. I felt comforted in knowing that if for any reason I needed to return the product, especially if my boyfriend wanted to exchange it for another model, it would be no problem at Rock the Boat as they offer a 30 day return policy. Their sales staff was also incredibly courteous and helpful. As someone in the marketing industry, I recognize wholly that there should be more companies like Rock the Boat! Stellar customer service, great pricing, and a wide selection of products. I can’t wait to “rock our boat” this summer with all of the awesome tunes we’ll be listening to!
