Rock the Boat only collects personally identifiable information when you order from us or voluntarily provide it in your communications with us. We do not sell customer information to third parties. We only use your information to process your order and to contact you with regard to our own web site.

We do collect non-personally identifiable information from all of our visitors that is aggregated and viewed in the form of statistics to help us improve the quality of our web site. An example of this kind of information would be a record that a particular page on our site was viewed by an unidentified visitor.

Our website is also integrated with Facebook. If you are a Facebook user, your visit to our website may be recorded by Facebook. Facebook keeps track of this information in order to provide you with a better user experience on Facebook. Rock The Boat does NOT have access to any personal information collected by Facebook. We do not collect and store your credit card information (card number, expiration date, etc.) on our own servers. Instead, we use PayPal, one of the most popular payment providers on the internet. Emails

When you place an order, we will send you a number of emails updating you on the status of your order. This includes an email confirming that the order was placed and another that the order was shipped. 60 days after you place your order, we will send you a follow up email asking you to review the items you purchased from us. This is a one-time reminder, and you are not required to submit a review. We may also send you other customer service emails related directly to your order if there is a problem with your order, such as stock issues, shipping issues, etc. By placing an order, you agree to receive these emails from us.

As you navigate our website, you will see opportunities to sign up for our optional email newsletter that provides information about new products and special deals. If you decide to sign up, we will send you a confirmation email. You will not receive our newsletter emails unless you confirm you want to receive them by clicking the confirmation link in the confirmation email. Every newsletter email you receive from us will include an unsubscribe link which you can use to be quickly and conveniently removed from our list.

Unsubscribing from our newsletter list will not prevent you from receiving customer service emails directly related to orders that are in progress or orders placed in the future.

Cookies

Like most websites, our site uses cookies to enhance your user experience. A cookie is a small file written to your web browser’s cache on your computer that allows our site to identify your computer and maintain the items in your shopping cart as you navigate from page to page. During order check out, the cookie also retains some of your shipping information for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter it if you place another order with us. All of the content on this site is original information generated by us, or promotional information provided by the manufacturers of the products we sell and is used by permission.

We make every effort to provide an accurate description of all of the products and services we offer. However, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of the information on our site. Also, we cannot be responsible for any losses you may incur due to errors on our site.

Keep in mind that the color displayed in product photos on our site may not be an accurate representation of the color of the actual product. The colors you see on your computer are dependent on the capabilities and settings of your computer monitor or phone screen. Colors will not look the same on every computer.

Sales Tax

Rock The Boat is a registered business in the state of Utah and we are required to collect state and local sales tax for purchases made from within the state. We do not collect sales tax for purchases made from outside of our state. Sales tax collection is based on the billing address of the purchaser, not the shipping address.

Order Acceptance

Rock The Boat reserves the right to reject any order for any reason. Reasons we may reject an order might include (but are not limited to) the inability to fill an order that requires a large quantity, a shipping address to which it would be risky to ship (such as some 3rd world countries), or a suspicion of fraud. If we reject your order we may notify you via email. We will always refund all money paid on rejected orders.

If you receive your product in non-functional condition

On rare occasions a product is shipped with a manufacturing defect. We understand this is frustrating and we want to make correcting the problem as painless as possible. We first require you to contact the manufacturer’s technical support, even if you have a professional installer. The manufacturer will know his product better than anyone and can best determine the problem. If the manufacturer recommends replacement we will take care of that for you. If you are in the Continental United States we will provide a prepaid return label. Contact us to set this up.

Warranty/Repairs

All of our products are warrantied by the manufacturer. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty and/or repair service. Each manufacturer handles warranties differently. If the manufacturer instructs you to return the product to us for replacement we can help you. Some manufacturers may refer you to a repair center in your area. Returning a Product

Please contact us before sending a product back to us! We have a system in place to make the return process as painless as possible. To better serve you we must assign an RMA number to your product before it can be returned. We cannot accept returned products without an RMA number. We are here to help, so please let us help! Please keep in mind that the return process usually takes 2-4 weeks for return shipment, restocking, and refunding.
