This stereo does not have a CD player. Instead it has a USB port on the face for connecting an MP3 player or flash drive and it will play MP3 or WMA files off of those devices. In addition it has an SD card slot on the face so that you can provide your digital music that way. It also has a 3.5mm phono plug on the face for patching in the audio from any other audio device. Lastly, there is a special iPod cable on the back of the unit for connecting your iPod via the 30 pin connector. MP3 players and iPods will be charged while connected.
Since it has no CD player, this stereo has only a 4 1/2″ mounting depth which makes it a great option for replacing old shallow depth tape players where a CD player will not fit.
This stereo is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion in a humid and/or salt air environment and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not completely waterproof, however so if you think it will get splashed or rained on you should use a cover to protect it

Very disappointed. You get what you pay for. Unit not user friendly. Hardly any volume when I-pod is hooked up. (And yes I know how to adjust it.) would not recommend. Should have spent the money and bought a blue tooth unit.

Has all the features I wanted…SD capability, USB port and I-Touch hook ups. Good FM reception and nice remote. Has plenty of power with 240 watts.

bought this to put in the boat because of the low price. good little unit so far. sound is good. haven’t had it long enough to know whether it will last but so far so good.
