This stereo will play CDs burned with MP3 and WMA files as well as standard audio CDs. It also has a front USB port for connecting and playing music from an MP3 player or Flash drive. In addition, it comes with an SD card slot from which you can play your digital music. There is also a 3.5 mm audio input jack on the face for connecting an iPod or other audio source.
This unit is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion in a humid and/or salt air environment and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not completely waterproof, however so if you think it will get splashed or rained on you should use a cover to protect it.
