These are a replacement for Sony XS-MP1611 speakers, which only require a 5" diameter cutout. It’s hard to find a 6.5" speaker with these dimensions – and these are far better than the Sony speakers for the same price. It’s a sailboat, so not an audiophile setup (but I have worked with audiophile systems before), and they sound great. I would buy these again. Only downsides: No gasket provided, you probably want a light smear of sealant around the frame on install. Aquatic AV sticker curls and falls off. You can glue it on or remove it.
Economical and good sound: Recommend for the price.
