These are the same as WR40B only with a different grill design.
Recommended only as replacement speakers or for lower power stereo applications since they can only handle 25 watts per speaker or 50 watts per pair.
These waterproof speakers are designed to resist rain, splashing or hosing down (but not submersion) and are built from UV resistant materials so they wont break down under long exposure to the sun.

Important For Hot Tub Users These speakers are designed to withstand splashing and rain, but not submersion. Submersion will dramatically reduce the life of these speakers. If you have a situation where the speakers are partially submerged when the hot tub is occupied, you should consider reducing the amount of water in your spa.

I bought these as a replacement for my Emerald Spa, which has 2 flush mount marine speakers. 1 of them stopped working, so I purchased these. Unfortunately the holes were not an exact fit (although both grills were 6" diameter), so I had to drill new holes in the acrylic. Regarding the speaker, I was very impressed with the sound for 25 watts. I have it hooked up to a Kenwood received (50w x 4) and am very impressed with how well the speaker I replaced sounds. Much better than the factory one on the other side of the hot tub.
