This stereo will play standard CD audio, plus it will play MP3 or WMA files burned onto a CD. (You can burn dozens of albums worth of music on one CD) Optionally, you can play your music directly from an MP3 player or smart phone via the front USB port while it is recharged. iPods and iPhones can be connected via the 3.5 mm audio input jack while they are recharged via the USB port. You can also play your music directly from an SD card via the SD card slot behind the faceplate.

This is a marine rated stereo because it has coated circuit boards that protect against corrosion, plus it is made with UV resistant materials. It is not completely waterproof, though, so if you think it will get wet, we recommend using a splash cover.
