This stereo will play standard audio CDs and video DVDs. It will also play CDs and DVDs with MP3 and WMA digital music files burned on them. The USB port allows you to connect MP3 players and thumb drives and play your MP3 files from those devices. Likewise, you can play digital music from the SD Card slot behind the front panel. Lastly there is a front 3.5mm audio input or patching in the sound from iPods, iPhones and any other external audio source.

NOTE: This stereo does not have the Apple software required for controlling an iPod or iPhone via USB.

This unit is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion caused by humidity and salt air and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not waterproof, however, so you should use a cover to protect it if you think it is likely to get wet.
