Milennia is made by the same manufacturer that makes JBL and Infinity marine stereo equipment. It features plasticoted circuit boards and UV resistant materials to protect against the weather.

This stereo does not have a CD player. Instead it has a USB port on the faceplate through which it will play MP3 or WMA digital music files from any MP3 player or flash drive. You can also use the SD card slot on the faceplate to play your digital music. It also has a 3.5 mm phono plug on the faceplate for playing audio from an iPod or any other audio source.

One challenge when replacing older cassette stereos is that many of them had shallow mounting depths where a CD player would not fit. Since this stereo has no CD player it has a shallow 4″ mounting depth that can fit where a typical CD player stereo cant.

This unit is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion in a humid and/or salt air environment and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not waterproof, however so if you think it will get splashed or rained on you should use a cover to protect it.

1 review for Milennia MR50 AM/FM Radio Receiver MP3 With USB Port and SD Card Slot Marine Stereo

  1. Saxman

Stereo has excellent sound. The receiver is sensitive and the USB option is awesome. Sounds as good as a CD. Easy to mount. The only down side is that the display is hard to see with the blue background.
