The “black box” stereo is new in the marine industry! It focuses specifically on eliminating the potential problem of water intrusion in a marine stereo. The MBBMINI comes with a waterproof controller as well as a separate box, functioning as the “brain” of the unit, that can be placed anywhere! This box allows boaters to put it in a water-protected area. In this era of portable media, many boaters are more interested in bringing along their iPod than in using a traditional CD player, so we designed the MBB218 with no CD mechanism. Instead, its equipped with aux-in to plug in either an MP3 player or a variety of other types of portable media.

I have this unit, plus Sat. radio, mounted on my Harley. Works great, I wired it for earbuds & can listen to my "tunes" anywhere. I would recommend stepping up to next model which has "pre-set" buttons, the Mini doesn’t.
