This stereo does not have a CD player. Instead it has a built in dock for iPods and iPhones with a 30 pin connection (a lightning to 30 pin adapter is required for iPhone 5). There is also a rear USB port which can be used to connect MP3 players, iPods, iPhones (including iPhone 5) and other smart phones. In addition to AM and FM reception, this stereo will receive VHF weatherband signals.
