This stereo can play standard audio CDs, plus CDs burned with MP3 or WMA digital music files. The front USB port allows you to connect your iPod, MP3 player or flash drive and play your music directly from those devices while they are recharged.

This unit is a marine stereo because it has plasticoted circuit boards to protect against corrosion in a humid and/or salt air environment and also is made of UV resistant materials. It is not completely waterproof, however so if you think it will get splashed or rained on you should use the included cover to protect it.

Great stereo well worth the money. I’ve used it for one full seasons with no issues

We bought this same radio about 5 yrs ago and installed in our outdoor kitchen. We really enjoyed it and bought a accessory cord to hook up the ipod to the rear of the radio and control it with the radio controls. It worked great until the radio had a lot of static. Replaced with the new model and the radio works fine but now my ipod won’t plug into rear of radio. We’re disappointed but it works fine other than that. It would be nice to not have the ipod sitting on the counter though with a cord hanging down the front of our cabinets, but a couple of beers usually helps make that less important.
